Bernard Harvey, of the Original Game Co, organises the Art & Crafts at Stourhead fair. The fairs have been held for the last fourteen years. In 2016 we have a weekend in May, July, October and December, owing to the huge demand and such a wide variety of work.  In May 2015 we held a Wood Week, where artists and crafts people specifically associated with wood exhibited seperately in The First View Gallery opposite the Memorial Hall.

These are small and very friendly fairs, with the majority of the exhibitors returning time and again.  In the Art & Craft Fairs, you can meet the artists and craftsmen and ladies.  It is important that, with few exceptions, all goods are made by the attending exhibitors.

Entrance is free to the Fairs and it has the advantage of the Spread Eagle Inn across the Courtyard which offers excellent sustenance!  In addition on some weekends we have mixed choirs from Dorset singing in the courtyard during the day

The kind co-operation of the National Trust and their staff at Stourhead is much appreciated. Visitors to the gardens, whether it is at the time of the late Spring Fair when the Azaleas and Rhodedendrons are in full bloom or the Autumn Fair when the garden colours are magnificent, always remark what a wonderful day out it has been.

New exhibitors are welcome, however there is a waiting list and you are very welcome to send a request to Bernard Harvey to register your details. For more information please contact
